As the requirements of the chemical and process industries become increasingly arduous, the need to move to more advanced engineering plastics accelerates.

In response to this demand, SAFI has now developed a complete range of valves in PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride).

The exceptional chemical and abrasion resistance of PVDF makes this an ideal material for the demanding chemicals and process chemicals in use today - and those of the future.

PVDF also extends the operating temperature of our valves to 120°C.

The range includes Ball, Diaphragm, Butterfly, Non-Return and Swing Check Valves.

BALL VALVES

Available from ½" to 6" Full Bore with a selection of fusion, butt weld, threaded and flanged connections to DIN, BS and ASA to suit most pipeline installations. SAFI PVDF Ball Valves are fitted with FPM seals as standard (others available on request) to ensure maximum chemical resistance and product compatibility.

A complete range of 2 and 3 way L and T port valves is available as standard.

VALVE SECURITY

SAFI manufactures a unique range of Tamperproof and Lockable systems for PVDF Ball Valves where product security and control is required.

Whether to comply with International Standards, to control access to hazardous chemicals or compliance with COSHH, SAFI can offer a manual or remote solution.

ACTUATED VALVES

All SAFI PVDF Ball Valves can be actuated electrically, with AC and DC current from 12 to 415 volts, and pneumatically with double acting or failsafe (spring return) actuators with limit switch boxes, valve position indicators solenoids, controllers and Positioners.

DIAPHRAGM VALVES

Available from ½" 2" (DN15 to DN50) fusion spigot or flanged connections with a choice of EPDM, FPM or PTFE diaphragms to allow SAFI Diaphragm Valves to be connected to virtually all types of pipe work.

BUTTERFLY VALVES

Available from 2" to 24" bore (DN50 to DN600) to DIN, BS or ASA flange configuration with a choice of EPDM or FPM seals. The SAFI PVDF Butterfly Valve is of a 'Wafer' construction and is rated up to PN10 (10 bar) with bolt locations in the flanges and can be built into pipe-line flanges to assist with valve assembly in difficult locations.

SAFI PVDF Butterfly Valves are supplied with lever and ratchet hold up to 6" (DN150) and hand wheel with reduction gearbox and valve position indicator for 8" (DN200) and above.

VALVE SECURITY

All SAFI Butterfly Valves can be made Tamperproof for use in areas where security or control of product is essential.

ACTUATED VALVES

Available with AC and DC Electric Actuators from 12v to 415v and Pneumatic Actuators with double acting or failsafe (spring return), all of which can be fitted with limit switch boxes, valve position indicators, solenoids, controllers and positioners.

All valves are 100% tested prior to despatch ready for installation.

Plastic and and composite actuators are also available for complete compatibility and increased corrosion resistance.

NON-RETURN VALVES

The SAFI PVDF Non-Return Valve has a spring return system end 'soft' seat seal to ensure a positive leak tight valve. The spring design ensures a positive contact between the flap and the seal and makes this valve suitable for installation in any position. The selection of plastic coated, Stainless Steel and Hastalloy springs ensures compatibility with most fluids. The built-in compression limiting device ensures the valve does not 'jam' during operation.

Our size range starts at ½" (DN15) and extends to 4" (DN100) nominal bore with an extensive selection of flanges, plain and threaded sockets to DIN, BS and ASA.

SAFI PVDF Non-Return Valves have FPM seals throughout as standard (other materials available on request) and are rated at up to 20 bars pressure.

SAFI PVDF Non-Return Valves conform to the same dimensional standards as our Ball Valves which means that they are easily interchangeable with the SAFI Ball Valve of the corresponding size.

SWING CHECK VALVES

SAFI PVDF Swing Check Valves are of a 'Wafer' type construction with a fully retained hinged swing flap making them suitable for installation between flanges. The SAFI PVDF Swing Check Valves offer excellent resistance to an extensive range of corrosive and abrasive fluids and, being designed for insertion between flanges, are suitable for use where there is limited pipeline space. A location ring is included to assist with pipeline installation.

Our size range is available from 2" (DN50) and extends to 12" (DN300) as standard stock items with larger versions available if required, and are suitable for installation into DIN, BS or ASA flange configurations.

All SAFI PVDF Swing Check Valves have a 'soft' seat sealing arrangement and come with FPM seals as standard (other materials available on request) and have a pressure rating of up to 16 bars.
